# IntelliJ Plugin Overview

Vault Toolbox IntelliJ Plugin is an open-source productivity tool for Vault Admins and Developers who build and support custom code solutions for Veeva Vault.

The Vault Toolbox plugin for IntelliJ provides the following tools:

*   **Code Templates**: File templates and live templates for creating custom SDK and MDL
*   **Code Inspections**: Vault Java SDK code inspections that flag APIs and patterns not permitted in the Vault Java SDK sandbox
*   **Developer Logs**: Downloading and analyzing developer logs within IntelliJ IDEA
*   **Deployment**: Generating Vault Configuration Reports and retrieving Vault component data
*   **Visual Tools**: Editing MDL and designing and building VPKs to deploy
*   **VQL Console**: Running read-only VQL queries against Vault with a visual Query Builder and Schema Explorer
*   **Vault Comparison**: Comparing MDL and SDK components between two Vault environments and applying changes between them
