IntelliJ Plugin Overview

Vault Toolbox IntelliJ Plugin is an open-source productivity tool for Vault Admins and Developers who build and support custom code solutions for Veeva Vault.

Note

Vault Toolbox is a collection of open-source tools created and maintained by the Vault Developer Support Team. While not official Veeva products, dedicated support for these tools can be accessed exclusively through the Vault for Developers community on Veeva Connect. Vault Product Support cannot assist with these open-source tools.

The Vault Toolbox plugin for IntelliJ provides the following tools:

• Code Templates: File templates and live templates for creating custom SDK and MDL
• Code Inspections: Vault Java SDK code inspections that flag APIs and patterns not permitted in the Vault Java SDK sandbox
• Developer Logs: Downloading and analyzing developer logs within IntelliJ IDEA
• Deployment: Generating Vault Configuration Reports and retrieving Vault component data
• Visual Tools: Editing MDL and designing and building VPKs to deploy
• VQL Console: Running read-only VQL queries against Vault with a visual Query Builder and Schema Explorer
• Vault Comparison: Comparing MDL and SDK components between two Vault environments and applying changes between them
